Where did you grow up?
I was born in California, but moved to Boise, Idaho, when I was 8. Growing up in Idaho was the best – long summer days and snowy winters. Boise was still small when I was there – I don’t recognize it now when I go back to visit!
Do you have any pets?
We have two cats. Kate (the lazy one) and Rye (the cute, fun one). Can you guess which one is our favorite?
Who’s your favorite band?
I have a fairly serious obsession with the Dave Matthews Band (which includes a tattoo). Each year I immerse myself in “Labor Dave Weekend” – a 3-day gathering of Dave fans in the middle of Washington over Labor Day weekend. What’s better than 3 summer days surrounded by 30,000 of your best DMB friends? Nothing.
How do you recharge?
When life gets crazy, I take our camper by myself to the Oregon coast. Sometimes I won’t talk to anyone for two whole days. It’s quiet and beautiful and the perfect place to reset.
