J Lines
J Lines is a consultant at BrightLine Group with experience in the evaluation, measurement, and verification of energy efficiency, demand response, and electrification programs, as well as market potential and adoption studies. He works with investor‑owned utilities, cooperatives, and public agencies nationwide, supporting study design, data management, methodological development, and technical reporting for evaluations of energy efficiency, demand response, and pilot programs. Jack is actively involved in market potential research, with a particular focus on renewable energy and distributed energy resource development. He is also regularly engaged in energy efficiency, demand response, and smart thermostat program planning work.

If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be?
Doctor of Physical Therapy. I’m an economist by training, which makes statistics a strength and coordination an unresolved externality.
What was your first job?
Summer custodian at the local school district. Gave up a whole summer to scrape gum off desks and lockers from 6am-4pm.
What is your dream vacation?
Cabin within a 4-hour drive of my house with plenty of lakes/rivers, few people, no phones, great fishing, and a fancy sauna.
How do you recharge?
Love a good sauna and also any low stakes hot take on the infrared vs. traditional debate.
