Where did you grow up?
I worked a variety of jobs in high school, including Subway, Dunkin Donuts, pizza delivery, and selling Christmas trees. I’d have to say delivering pizzas might have been my favorite, as I got to kind of explore and see new parts of New Jersey.
What's the best place you've ever visited?
Before going to college, I spent a month backpacking in Wyoming southeast of Yellowstone. That trip kind of set a course for me personally and professionally. It ultimately pulled me west and drove me to pursue a career in an environmental field.
Do you have any pets?
We have one wild black mut named Holly. At some point we had to decide whether to train her or try and keep her tired – we chose the latter.
How do you recharge?
I often feel rejuvenated and fulfilled after some time alone in the wilderness, and I primarily use fly fishing as my excuse to get out there.
