Sophie Frey is a Project Engineer at BrightLine Group with experience in engineering development and analysis. Her background includes research, technical writing, data analysis, sustainable design and more. With both a liberal arts degree and an engineering degree, Sophie is particularly comfortable working in the technical details while also looking at systems in their entirety.

What was your first job?
For my first job I worked at my hairdresser’s office and kept her books as well as sweeping/maintaining the salon.
Where did you grow up?
I moved around a lot as a kid! By the time I was 8 years old I had moved 8 times…and then my family settled in the lower Hudson Valley of New York State. I mostly consider myself from New England because of my time as a young kid living outside of Boston and going to college in New Hampshire!
If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be?
I think it would be fluency in a foreign language- probably French or Mandarin!
How do you spend your free time?
You can usually find me exploring the mountains on either my bike or feet while laughing with friends/family. I also really enjoy listening to live music, practicing yoga, and attempting new recipes.
